BACKEND ENGINEERING · AI AUTOMATION · 2026

I build systems that keep moving when work gets complicated.

Yashaswa Varshney is a backend engineer focused on the unglamorous hard parts: durable workflows, enterprise integrations, document intelligence, and AI that earns its place in production.

01 / THE THROUGH-LINE ✳

Make business processes feel less like paperwork.

My work lives where distributed systems meet real operations: approvals that need a human, documents that arrive messy, and conversations that must still reach an ERP correctly. I design the backbone—events, retries, timers, guardrails, and interfaces—so the useful thing happens reliably.

DOCUMENT INTELLIGENCE

93%+ extraction and validation accuracy across invoices, POs, and GRNs.

DURABLE WORKFLOWS

Long-running Temporal cycles for schedule → send → wait → follow-up.

CONVERSATIONAL ERP

Email-based agents for AP approvals, ticketing, reminders, and validation.

BUILDING IN PUBLIC

Runner-up, Solana Colosseum Hackathon 2024, for SolSplit.

02 / IN THE FIELD ↳

Production is where the design gets honest.

Software Developer Manrke, Canada · Contract

Led a three-person team delivering ERP automation, document intelligence, and durable workflow systems.

  • Built email-interfaced ERP chatbots for AP routing, bill generation, payment reminders, and calculation checks.
  • Engineered AWS Textract processing for handwritten, multi-page, and tabular invoices, GRNs, and POs.
  • Designed Temporal workflows with retries, durable timers, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Developed serverless ERP connectors and AWS Bedrock batch, guardrail, and model-usage infrastructure.

Software Development Engineer HyperBots

Worked on the services behind high-volume enterprise finance workflows.

  • Developed concurrent Go pipelines for ERP integrations, with timed retries and caching for downtime.
  • Built LangGraph workflows for customer onboarding, ERP onboarding, and ticket creation.
  • Implemented invoice line-item, tax, and charge validation APIs plus event-driven web, email, and SMS notifications.

Software Developer Intern Finzome

Built data-scraping pipelines with IP routing and browser automation, and partnered with traders to code and backtest strategies.

03 / SIDE QUESTS ⌘

Tools should make their evidence visible.

Vectoria LOCAL RAG · CLI

A privacy-focused personal knowledge base using a small language model, Rust, and pgVector. Commands such as remember, forget, and search keep it direct; models can come from OpenRouter or Ollama.

DuckLogs CLOUDWATCH COPILOT

A Bubble Tea terminal interface for investigating CloudWatch logs locally with DuckDB and OpenRouter. It parses and queries large event sets, previews the SQL, and turns findings into structured Markdown reports.

RFP-bid LANGGRAPH · DOCUMENT AI

A proposal copilot with session and long-term retrieval, cursor-like natural-language editing, document navigation, controlled modifications, and execution tracking across DOCX, PDF, image, and form workflows.

04 / THE TOOLBELT ⚙
